The Doorway to Heaven, the Ourika Valley

We found ourselves back near Marrakech, about half an hour away in the Ourika Valley. Somehow finding ourselves staying in the luxurious Bab Ourika, thanks again to Untraveled Paths. The Kasba extends in to the beauty of the valley itself. The mountains in the background, the falls and the sunsets make time spent there relaxing but also awe inspiring.

We even ran in to some goats roaming around the hills!

Sitting down for dinner we had some great starters. Stuffed olives with a beat hummus and cream cheese. Everything about this place was above and beyond. They have beautiful gardens to walk around, pleasant friendly staff who were ready at anytime to recommend a walk through the surrounding hills or to pour a nice mint tea. It was the perfect place to sit down and relax after what was by this point, a long trip.
